REGRETFULLY IN MANY CASES IT DOES NOT AND IN SOME PLACES CHANGES THE ENTIRE MEANING OF WHAT IS BEING SAID.
I BELIEVE THE BIBLE, IN THE ORIGINAL TEXTS, TO BE THE INSPIRED WORD OF GOD WITHOUT MISTAKE OR ERROR.

ANOTHER PROBLEM THAT WE MUST DEAL WITH IS THE TRANSLITERATION OF CERTAIN WORDS INSTEAD OF TRANSLATION.
THAT IS TAKING THE HEBREW OR GREEK WORD AND INSTEAD OF TRANSLATING IT BRINGING THE LETTER VALUES OVER INTO ENGLISH LETTERS TRANSLITERATING THEM.
WE FIND THIS WITH MANY DIFFERENT WORDS SUCH AS BAPTISM OR BISHOP.
THESE ARE NOT TRANSLATED WORDS, RATHER THEY ARE TRANSLITERATED.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:1, "Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant."

HERE WE FIND THE WORD [GIFTS] IS BRACKETED OR IN YOUR BIBLE IN ITALICS.
THAT MEANS IT IS A WORD THAT IS NOT REALLY THERE.
WE HAVE BUILT AN ENTIRE DOCTRINE ON THE "GIFTS" OF THE SPIRIT BASED ON A WORD NOT EVEN FOUND IN THE TEXT THAT WE ARE USING.

I BELIEVE THAT A CLOSER LOOK AT THE TEXT ITSELF WILL REVEAL AN EVEN RICHER TRUTH THAN WE HAVE BEEN TEACHING.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:4-11, "Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will."

IN OUR PAST UNDERSTANDING, WE HAVE TAKEN THESE VERSES AND MADE THEM ALL ONE TEACHING.
HOWEVER, THE APOSTLE PAUL IS REALLY TALKING ABOUT THREE DIFFERENT AREAS OF UNDERSTANDING.

LET US START IN VERSE ONE WITH A WORD DEFINITION.
THE WORD, "SPIRITUAL" IS "PNEUMATIKOS" IN THE GREEK TEXT. IT MEANS "THINGS PERTAINING TO, OR ACTIVITY OF SPIRIT OR SPIRITS".
SO THIS VERSE TELLS US THAT WE ARE "NOT TO BE IGNORANT ABOUT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT OR OF THE ACTIVITY OF SPIRITS."

ON TO VERSE FOUR. THE WORD USED HERE FOR "GIFTS" IS "CHARISMA" WHICH MEANS "A MANIFESTATION OF DIVINE GRACE RECEIVED WITHOUT MERIT EXPRESSED THROUGH OR TO ONE".
IN OTHER WORDS, "THERE ARE DIFFERENT MANIFESTATIONS OF GRACE EXPRESSED, BUT BY THE SAME SPIRIT".
THE KEY WORD HERE IS "SPIRIT".
IN EACH OF THE NEXT TWO VERSES THERE ARE KEY WORDS THAT LINK US TO OTHER SCRIPTURES THAT OPEN UP TO US THE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT IS BEING TAUGHT.

HERE THE KEY WORD "SPIRIT" LINKS US TO VERSES SEVEN THROUGH ELEVEN.
THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT ARE GIVEN TO EACH OF US AS THE SPIRIT WILLS AND IS YIELDED TO IN EACH SITUATION.
THESE ARE NOT "OUR GIFTS" AS SOME HAVE TAUGHT. RATHER, THEY ARE THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE GIFT.
IF WE RECEIVE HIM, ALL OF THE MANIFESTATIONS ARE AVAILABLE AS IS NEEDED AND AS HE MOVES THROUGH US, BEING YIELDED TO HIM.
THANK GOD, BEFORE SOMEONE COULD COME AND TELL ME I COULD ONLY HAVE THIS OR THAT "GIFT" IT WAS TOO LATE. I FOUND THAT HE, THE HOLY SPIRIT, WAS THE GIFT AND I WAS ALREADY OPERATING IN ALL NINE MANIFESTATIONS OF HIS GRACE.
AND IF YOU DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER YOU CAN TOO.
SOMEONE SAYS, "I HAVE THE GIFT OF TONGUES", NO, YOU DON'T. YOU HAVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND TONGUES ARE ONLY ONE OF HIS MANIFESTATIONS. ALL OF HIS MANIFESTATIONS ARE IN HIM AND IF HE IS IN YOU ALL ARE AVAILABLE TO YOU AS IS NEEDED BY THE SPIRIT.

VERSE FIVE, THE WORD FOR "ADMINISTRATIONS" IS "DIAKONIA" WHICH MEANS, "MINISTRY OR OFFICE OF MINISTRY".
"THERE ARE DIFFERENT OFFICES OF MINISTRY, BUT THE SAME LORD."
THE KEY WORD HERE IS "LORD" AND THE SCRIPTURE IT LINKS US TO IS EPHESIANS 4:10-13.

"He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:"

THEY ARE GIFTS OF PEOPLE ANOINTED AND EQUIPPED TO BRING TO MATURITY THE BODY OF CHRIST.
THESE ARE OFFICES OF MINISTRY OR MINISTRY GIFTS.
APOSTLES, PROPHETS, EVANGELISTS, PASTORS AND TEACHERS.

IN VERSE SIX, THE WORD "OPERATIONS" IS "ENERGEMA" WHICH MEANS "OPERATION, TO BE AT WORK, TO DISPLAY ONE'S ACTIVITY."
THE KEY WORD HERE IS GOD AND THE SCRIPTURE THAT IT LINKS TO IS 1 CORINTHIANS 12:28-30,
"And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. [Are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all workers of miracles? Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?"

THESE VERSES IMPLY LEVELS OF OPERATION OR FUNCTION THAT TAKE PLACE AS WE GROW UP IN THE THINGS OF GOD.
IN VERSES 29-30, WE FIND THE IMPLIED ANSWER "NO" TO THE QUESTION OF "DO ALL" WITH THE EXCEPTION OF "HELPS" AND "GOVERNMENTS".
THAT IS BECAUSE ALL DISCIPLES ARE TO BE INVOLVED IN THE MINISTRY OF HELPS AT SOME LEVEL AND UNDER SUBMISSION TO THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD.

ALTHOUGH SOME OF THE WORDS USED ARE THE SAME OR SIMILAR THEY ARE NOT ALL THE SAME THING.
AN EXAMPLE OF THIS WOULD BE THE WORD "PROPHECY" A MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT AND THE WORD "PROPHETS" AS ONE OF THE GIFTS OF MINISTRY TO THE BODY OF CHRIST AND THE WORD "PROPHETS" AS A PROPHETIC LEVEL OF OPERATION IN GROWTH AND FUNCTION.
THEY ARE SIMILAR BUT NOT THE SAME.

THE QUESTION OF DO ALL IS "NO".
HOWEVER, THE QUESTION OF CAN ALL REMAINS TO BE ANSWERED.
LET US START AT THE BOTTOM, WHICH IS THE USUAL PROGRESSION OF THINGS. SOMEONE WILL SAY, "TONGUES ARE THE LEAST OF THE GIFTS". NO, THEY ARE NOT A GIFT, THEY ARE A MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT, WHO IS THE GIFT. THEY ARE ALSO A LEVEL OF OPERATON OR FUNCTION.
THEY ARE A BEGINNING PLACE TO LEARN TO MOVE AND GROW IN GOD.
DO YOU START SCHOOL IN KINDERGARDEN OR IN THE UNIVERSITY? IN KINDERGARDEN OF COURSE!
SO IS IT WITH DIVERSITIES OF TONGUES.
THIS IS THE BOTTOM OR ENTRANCE LEVEL OF MOVING WITH GOD IN A SUPERNATURAL OPERATION IN THE CHURCH AND ALSO IN A BELIEVERS PRIVATE PRAYER LIFE.

AS A MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT ALL BELIEVERS ARE TO SPEAK IN TONGUES, JESUS SAID SO.

MARK 16:17, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;"

QUESTION?
ARE YOU A BELIEVER? THEN YOU WILL SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES.

WHAT ARE TONGUES?
THEY ARE KNOWN LANGUAGES, EITHER OF MEN OR OF ANGELS.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:1a, "Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,"

THEY ARE HOWEVER, LANGUAGES THAT THE SPEAKER DOES NOT KNOW IN THE NATURAL.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:1-5, "Follow after charity, and desire spiritual [gifts], but rather that ye may prophesy. For he that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men [to] edification, and exhortation, and comfort. He that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater [is] he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying."

"FOLLOW AFTER LOVE AND DESIRE THE ACTIVITY OF SPIRIT OR SPIRITS,"
THE WORD ["GIFTS"] ONCE AGAIN IS NOT THERE. ALSO IN VERSE TWO THE WORD "UNKNOWN" IS IN [ITALICS] MEANING IT IS NOT THERE.
THESE ARE NOT "UNKNOWN" TONGUES. THEY ARE KNOWN TO OTHERS, EITHER MEN OR ANGELS.

THROUGH THE YEARS I HAVE HAD MANY EXPERIENCES OF SPEAKING IN A LANGUAGE THAT I DID NOT KNOW IN MY NATURAL MIND, YET THOSE AROUND ME AT THE TIME UNDERSTOOD IN THEIR OWN LANGUAGE THE THINGS I WAS PRAYING AND SAYING.

IN A TIME OF PRAYER WITH A GROUP OF LOCAL CHURCH LEADERSHIP, BEFORE A MIRACLE SERVICE IN COSTA RICA, I WAS WALKING BACK AND FORTH IN FRONT OF THE PLATFORM PRAYING IN TONGUES.
MY TRANSLATOR CAME RUNNING UP TO ME AND SAID, "PASTOR, DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING?" I REPLIED, "I'M PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT (TONGUES), WHY?"
HE SAID, "YOU'RE PRAYING IN PERFECT SPANISH FOR MIRACLES, HEALINGS, DELIVERANCE AND SALVATIONS TO TAKE PLACE TONIGHT IN THE MEETING AND THE PEOPLE ARE LISTENING TO YOU!"
THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME OVER AND OVER AGAIN IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE WORLD IN MANY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES.
THESE ALL WERE KNOWN LANGUAGES, ONLY I DIDN'T KNOW THEM.

LET'S GET RID OF ANOTHER "HOLY COW" AT THIS POINT.
FOR YEARS I HAVE HEARD IT TAUGHT THAT SATAN CAN'T UNDERSTAND TONGUES. ON WHAT SCRIPTURE IS THAT BASED?
HE CERTAINLY UNDERSTANDS THE LANGUAGES OF MEN AND BEING AN ANGEL, HIMSELF, WOULD UNDERSTAND ANGELIC LANGUAGES AS WELL.
WHAT HE CAN NOT DO IS INFLUENCE THEM BECAUSE THEY COME FROM YOUR SPIRIT AND NOT YOUR MIND.
TO YOUR MIND THEY ARE NOT KNOWN. BUT THE SPIRIT KNOWS THEM AND GIVES THE UTTERANCE TO US IN OUR SPIRITS SPEAKING THROUGH US THE MYSTERIES OF GOD AND MAKING INTERCESSION THROUGH US ACCORDING TO THE WILL OF GOD. MORE ON THIS LATER.

GOD WILL NOT DO IT TO YOU.
GOD WILL NOT DO IT FOR YOU.
GOD WILL DO IT THROUGH YOU AND WITHOUT YOU HE WILL NOT DO IT.

ANOTHER COMMON MISUNDERSTANDING IS THIS: "IF GOD WANTS ME TO HAVE IT (SPEAKING IN TONGUES OR ANY OF THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT) HE WILL JUST GIVE IT TO ME."
NO, HE WON'T. HE TELLS US TO DESIRE THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT. AND TO ASK FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:1b, "and desire spiritual [gifts],"

LUKE 11:9-13, "And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if [he ask] a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the HOLY SPIRIT to them that ask him?"

MARK 11:24, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive [them], and ye shall have [them]."

BUT YOU HAVE TO DESIRE THEM AND TO ASK FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT'S POWER TO BE RELEASED IN AND THROUGH YOUR LIFE.

ACTS 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

POWER TO DO WHAT? BE A WITNESS. WITNESSING IS NOT SOMETHING YOU DO, IT'S SOMETHING YOU ARE.
WHAT ARE WE TO BE A WITNESS OF?
THE POWER OF RESURRECTION LIFE TO SAVE, HEAL, DELIVER AND TRANSFORM LIVES. FOR THIS YOU WILL NEED POWER AND THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT TO GET THE JOB DONE.
THE BEGINNING PLACE TO START TO OPERATE IN THE SUPERNATURAL FLOW OF THE SPIRIT IS BY SPEAKING IN TONGUES.

ACTS 2:1-4, "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

NOTICE, THEY SPOKE AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM THE UTTERANCE. WE FIND THAT 12O PEOPLE WERE IN THAT UPPER ROOM. THEY ALL SPOKE IN TONGUES. THE HOLY SPIRIT DOES NOT SPEAK IN TONGUES, WE DO AS THE SPIRIT GIVES US THE UTTERANCE.

THROUGHOUT THE BOOK OF ACTS SPEAKING IN TONGUES IS THE MOST COMMON MANIFESTATION OF RECEIVING THE SPIRIT'S POWER. BUT IT IS NOT THE ONLY ONE.

ACTS 19:6-7, "And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve."

REMEMBER, THE GIFT IS THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE RELEASING OF HIS POWER, NOT JUST TONGUES. TONGUES ARE ONLY ONE OF THE NINE MANIFESTATIONS OF HIS POWER THROUGH US.

SOME OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE LEVEL OF OPERATONS OF TONGUES:

TO MAKE INTERCESSION AND PRAYER THROUGH US.

ROMANS 8:26-28, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what [is] the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to [the will of] God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose."

PREACHERS LOVE TO QUOTE VERSE 28, "ALL THINGS WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD."
YET MOST GIVE US THE IMPRESSION THAT THIS HAPPENS AUTOMATICALLY.
THIS HOWEVER IS NOT THE CASE.
LET US GO BACK TO VERSE 26 AND TAKE A CLOSER LOOK.
THE WORD "HELPETH" IS "SUNANTILAMBANOMAL" WHICH MEANS "TO TAKE HOLD TOGETHER WITH US AGAINST".
"THE SPIRIT TAKES HOLD TOGETHER WITH US AGAINST OUR WEAKNESSES: BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW HOW TO PRAY IN THE SITUATION SO THE SPIRIT MAKES INTERECESSION (THROUGH US) WITH GROANINGS WHICH WE CAN'T SPEAK."
I HAVE HEARD CERTAIN GREEK SCHOLARS SAY THAT THE CLOSEST WAY TO TRANSLATE "WITH GROANINGS WHICH CAN NOT BE UTTERED" IS "GOD TALK".
GOD TALKING TO GOD. THE HOLY SPIRIT PRAYS THROUGH US WITH WORDS WE DO NOT KNOW ACCORDING TO OUR GREAT HIGH PRIEST, JESUS CHRIST, WHO IS LIVING TO MAKE INTERCESSION FOR US, TURNING ALL ATTACKS AND SITUATIONS AROUND FOR OUR GOOD AS WE YIELD TO HIM AND PRAY IN THE SPIRIT (TONGUES).
HOWEVER, IF WE DO NOT PRAY IN TONGUES, HE, THE HOLY SPIRIT, HAS NO VEHICLE TO OPERATE THROUGH TO TAKE HOLD TOGETHER WITH US AGAINST.
THEREFORE ALL THINGS ARE NOT WORKING TOGETHER FOR OUR GOOD.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE YIELD TO THE SPIRIT AND ALLOW HIM TO PRAY THROUGH US IN OTHER TONGUES.

THIS LEVEL CAN BE USED BOTH IN OUR PRIVATE LIVES AND IN TIMES OF INTERCESSION AND WARFARE IN THE CHURCH CORPORATELY.

EPHESIANS 6:18, "Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

ANOTHER LEVEL OF KINDS OF TONGUES IS FOR CORPORATE PRAISE AND WORSHIP AS WELL AS FOR PERSONAL EDIFICATION.

EPHESIANS 5:19, "Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"

1 CORINTHIANS 14:14-15, "For if I pray in an [unknown] tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also."

COLOSSIANS 3:16, "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."

HERE WE FIND TO PRAY IN THE SPIRIT IS TO PRAY IN TONGUES. WHEN WE FIND THIS TERM USED IN THE SCRIPTURES THAT IS WHAT IT IS IN REFERENCE TO.
SO ALSO, TO SING IN THE SPIRIT IS TO SING IN TONGUES.
WE ARE TOLD TO DO SO BOTH PRIVATELY AND ALSO CORPORATELY. AS WE LEARN TO YIELD TO THE SPIRIT IN THIS LEVEL WE WILL NEED TO ASK THAT WE MAY INTERPRET OUR UTTERANCE OR SONG THAT WE MIGHT RECEIVE THE UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT WE HAVE BEEN PRAYING, SAYING OR SINGING.
WE WILL RECEIVE MUCH BLESSING AND REVELATION FROM DOING SO.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:13, "Wherefore let him that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue pray that he may interpret."

ORAL ROBERTS BUILT THE ORU UNIVERSITY BY PRAYING IN TONGUES AND THEN INTERPRETING WHAT HE PRAYED.
TONGUES ARE AN IMPORTANT LEVEL OF OPERATION IN THE SPIRIT.
INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES GIVES US THE BENEFIT OF PROPHECY.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT FUNCTION OF THIS LEVEL OF OPERATION IN THE SPIRIT IS FOUND IN VERSE TWO. THE WORD "MYSTERIES" MEAN "SOMETHING THAT WAS ONCE HIDDEN BUT IS NOW BEING REVEALED".
AS WE SPEAK IN TONGUES WE ARE REVEALING MYSTERIES CONCERNING THE KINGDOM AND GOD'S PLAN AND PURPOSE FOR OUR LIVES.
WE ARE SPEAKING BY THE SPIRIT OUR FUTURE INTO THE NOW.

1 CORINTHIANS 2:6-16, Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory: Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."

YES, THESE VERSES ARE TALKING ABOUT SPEAKING IN TONGUES DECLARING THE MYSTERIES AND THE WISDOM OF GOD REVEALED THROUGH THE SPIRIT.

PRAYING IN TONGUES ALSO BUILDS US UP IN OUR SPIRITS AND HELPS KEEP US IN THE LOVE OF GOD.

JUDE 20-21a, "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God,"

ROMANS 5:5, "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

ISAIAH 28:9-12, "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? [them that are] weaned from the milk, [and] drawn from the breasts. For precept [must be] upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, [and] there a little: For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This [is] the rest [wherewith] ye may cause the weary to rest; and this [is] the refreshing: yet they would not hear."

THIS IS THE REST AND THIS IS THE REFRESHING BROUGHT THROUGH THE SPIRIT BY SPEAKING IN OTHER TONGUES.

THE APOSTLE PAUL STATES THAT "I thank God I speak in tongues more then you all,"

THE FUNCTION AND OPERATION OF TONGUES ARE A VERY IMPORTANT LEVEL OF GROWTH IN THE THINGS OF GOD.
IT IS THE BEGINNING PLACE OF MOVING IN A SUPERNATURAL FLOW WITH THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE RELEASE OF THE SPIRIT IN YOUR LIFE ASK OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST TO FILL YOU AND RELEASE YOU IN HIS SPIRIT RIGHT NOW.

ALL BELIEVERS ARE TO SPEAK IN TONGUES. THEN WE ARE TO BECOME DISCIPLES.

THE NEXT LEVEL OF OPERATION IS GOVERNMENTS.

THIS FUNCTION HAS TO DO WITH OUR SUBMISSION TO THE AUTHORITY OF GOD PLACED IN THE MINISTRY GIFTS.

BEING IN A COMMITTED RELATIONSHIP TO A PASTOR AND A LOCAL BODY OF DISCIPLES.

WE WILL NEED TO HAVE AN UNDERSTANDING OF "THE CHURCH" AT THIS POINT.
TODAY MANY PEOPLE ARE USING TERMS SUCH AS "THE BLACK" CHURCH, "THE WHITE" CHURCH, "THE SPANISH" CHURCH, ECT. HOWEVER, WE ARE TO BE OF ONE BLOOD, HIS BLOOD, THE VERY BLOOD OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, NOT MANY DIFFERENT AND SEPARATE GROUPS OF PEOPLE. WE ARE TO PREACH THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM. A MESSAGE WHICH INCLUDES THE REUNIFICATION OF ALL PEOPLE GROUPS INTO ONE NEW MAN.

THE TRUE MESSAGE OF THE GOSPEL UNITES NOT SEPARATES. THERE IS NO SUCH THING IN GOD'S SIGHT AS THE "BLACK" CHURCH OR THE "WHITE" CHURCH, ONLY "THE CHURCH" WITH MANY DIFFERENT MEMBERS, YET ONE BODY AND ONE BLOOD.

THE ONLY REAL CURE FOR RACISM IS THE TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST, WHERE THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GENTILE, MALE NOR FEMALE, BOND NOR FREE BUT "ONE NEW MAN" IN CHRIST JESUS.

WE ARE COMMANDED BY OUR LORD TO REACH EVERY PEOPLE GROUP SO THAT THEY CAN BE BROUGHT INTO HIS KINGDOM AND BECOME PART OF HIS RACE, "THE SONS OF GOD"!

THE POWER OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST FLOWS THROUGH HIS BODY, "THE CHURCH".
THEREFORE, AS A "MEMBER OF THE BODY" WE NEED TO BE CONNECTED AND FITTED INTO A PLACE OF DISCIPLESHIP UNDER AUTHORITY TO THE GOVERNMEMT OF GOD.
THERE IS POWER, LIFE, CLEANSING AND HEALING IN THE BLOOD.
IF WE ARE NOT CONNECTED IN THE BODY THE BLOOD DOES NOT FLOW TO OR THROUGH US AND THE BENEFIT OF THE BLOOD DOES NOT REACH US.

THIS TAKES PLACE IN A LOCAL CHURCH BODY AND INVOLVES COMMITMENT AND SUBMISSION TO A PASTOR.

ALL BELIEVERS ARE TO BECOME DISCIPLES LEARNING TO LIVE THE LIFE OF CHRIST THAT IS IN THE MINISTRY GIFT THEY ARE SUBMITTED TO.

THE NEXT LEVEL IS THE OPERATION OF "HELPS".

HERE WE WORK OUT IN A PRACTICAL SENSE OUR SUBMISSION TO THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD.
BECOMING INVOLVED IN SERVICE TO OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND BEING A HELP TO THE MINISTRY GIFTS IN WHAT EVER PLACE WE MAY BE NEEDED.

THIS LEVEL OF OPERATION COVERS ANY AND ALL AREAS OF SERVICE AND HELP. FROM CLEANING TO SINGING OR PLAYING AN INSTRUMENT.
FROM INTERCESSORY PRAYER TO GIVING OUR MONEY, TIME AND TALENTS. FROM TEACHING A CLASS TO BRINGING WATER TO THE MINISTRY GIFTS.

ALL DISCILPES ARE TO FUNCTION IN SOME LEVEL OF "HELPS".

THE NEXT LEVEL WE MAY ENTER INTO IS "GIFTS OF HEALINGS" FOLLOWED BY "MIRACLES".

WE WILL DEAL WITH THESE TWO TOGETHER.

THE WORD FOR "GIFTS" HERE IS ONCE AGAIN "CHARISMA" MEANING "A MANIFESTATION OF DIVINE GRACE RECEIVED WITHOUT MERIT EXPRESSED THROUGH OR TO ONE".
THE WORD FOR "HEALINGS" IS "IAMA" AND MEANS "A HEALING OR MEANS OF HEALING".

ALL BELIEVERS ARE TO PRAY FOR AND HEAL THE SICK.

MARK 16:18c, "they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

THIS HOWEVER, IS A LEVEL OF OPERATION THAT ONE MOVES IN ON A REGULAR BASIS.
SEVERAL DIFFERENT MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT MAY BE IN OPERATION AT THE SAME TIME IN THIS FUNCTION
WE MAY FIND FAITH, A WORD OF KNOWLEDGE OR A NUMBER OF OTHER MANIFESTATIONS AS WELL AS "CHARISMA" OF HEALING TAKING PLACE.

BETWEEN THIS LEVEL AND THE NEXT, (MIRACLES OR WORKINGS OF POWERS) WE FIND THE MINISTRY GIFT OF THE EVANGELIST IN OPERATION.
YET A DISCIPLE MAY GROW UP IN THIS LEVEL AND BE USED OF GOD TO TOUCH THE LIVES OF THOSE IN NEED OF HEALING, DELIVERANCE AND MIRACLES WITHOUT BEING A MINISRTY GIFT.

THE WORD FOR "MIRACLES" IS "DUNAMIS" AND MEANS "POWER, MIGHTY WORK, MIRACLE WORKNG POWER".

THESE TWO LEVELS WORK TOGETHER AND MANY DIFFERENT MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT MAY BE PRESENT HERE.

LET US TAKE A MOMENT TO LOOK AT THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT.

THEY ARE EXPRESSED IN THREE DIFFERENT AREAS.

MANIFESTATIONS OF REVELATION:

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE, WORD OF WISDOM AND DISCERNING OF SPIRITS.

MANIFESTATIONS OF POWER:

FAITH, WORKING OF MIRACLES AND MANIFESTATIONS OF HEALINGS.

MANIFESTATIONS OF UTTERANCE:

PROPHECY, INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES AND TONGUES.

WORD OF KNOWLEDGE:
A DIVINE IMPARTATION OF KOWLEDGE NOT KNOWN BY THE NATURAL MIND OF EVENTS, PEOPLE, PLACES OR THINGS EITHER PAST OR PRESENT.

WORD OF WISDOM:
A DIVINE IMPARTATION OF REVELATION CONCERNING THE PURPOSE AND PLAN OF GOD, USUALLY IN THE FUTURE TENSE, OF EVENTS, PEOPLE, PLACES OR THINGS.

DISCERNING OF SPIRITS:
TO SEE INTO THE SPIRIT REALM DISCERNING THE SPIRIT OR SPIRITS THAT ARE IN OPERATION OR THAT ARE PRESENT.

FAITH:
THE ABILITY TO ACT ON GOD'S WORD. FAITH ALWAYS COMES BY HEARING FROM GOD. (ROMANS 10:17, "So then faith [comes] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.")
REAL FAITH IS SUPERNATURAL AND IS ALWAYS A MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT. IT IS NOT YOUR FAITH IT IS HIS.

WORKING OF POWER, A MANIFESTATION OF THE SPIRIT FOR DELIVERANCE, MIRACLES, SIGNS AND WONDERS.

GIFTS OF HEALING:
"CHARISMA" OF HEALING MAYBE AN INSTANT OR PROGRESSIVE HEALING OF SPIRIT, SOUL (MIND) OR BODY.

PROPHECY:
A DIVINE UTTERANCE SPOKEN OUT IN A LANGAUGE KNOWN BY THE SPEAKER TO PRODUCE FAITH, HOPE, EDIFICATION, EXHORTATION AND COMFORT IN THOSE WHO HEAR IT. MAY CARRY WITHIN IT A "WORD OF KNOWLEDGE" OR "WISDOM", SPEAKING EITHER TO A CURRENT SITUATION OR OF FUTURE EVENTS.
MAY ALSO BE USED TO TEAR DOWN STRONGHOLDS IN THE SPIRIT REALM.
PROPHECY IS SPEAKING FORTH THE "RHEMA" WORD OF GOD PRODUCING FAITH. IT IS THE TRUE CONFESSION OF FAITH.
ALL BELIEVERS MAY PROPHESY.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:31, "For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted."

HOWEVER, THIS DOES NOT MAKE THEM PROPHETS.
PROPHECY FOR THE DISCIPLE IS NOT FOR FORE-TELLING THE FUTURE, BUT RATHER FORTH-TELLING THE "RHEMA" WORD OF GOD.
FORE-TELLING SHOULD BE LEFT TO THE MINISTRY GIFTS OF PROPHETS AND APOSTLES.

INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES:
THE INTERPRETATION OF AN UTTERANCE OR A SONG GIVEN IN A TONGUE. IT IS NOT "TRANSLATION" OF TONGUES, IT IS AN INTERPRETATION OF THAT TONGUE AND WILL VARY DEPENDING ON THE LEVEL OF REVELATION AND SPIRITUAL GROWTH IN THE DISCIPLE.
MAY PRODUCE THE SAME BENEFIT AS PROPHECY.

TONGUES:
AN UTTERANCE SPOKEN FORTH OR SUNG IN A LANGAUGE NOT KNOWN BY THE NATURAL MIND OF THE SPEAKER.

IT IS NOT UNCOMMON TO SEE A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT IN OPERATION AT THE SAME TIME.
THIS IS MOST COMMON WITHIN THE MINISTRY GIFTS AND DISCIPLES ON THE UPPER LEVELS OF OPERATIONS.

THE NEXT LEVEL OF OPERATION IS THAT OF "TEACHERS".

THE WORD FOR TEACHER IS "DIDASKALOS" AND MEANS "A TEACHER (OF THE WORD AND DOCTRINE)". THE APOSTLE PAUL USES THIS TERM CONCERNING HIMSELF IN 1 TIMOTHY 2:7 AND 2 TIMOTHY 1:11.

"Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, [and] lie not,) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity."

"Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles."

IT IS ALSO FOUND IN THE LIST OF MINISTRY GIFTS IN EPHESIANS 4:11 AS WELL AS ROMANS 12:7 AND IN MANY OTHER PLACES DEALING WITH TEACHING THE WORD AND DOCTRINE.

HERE WE WILL FIND THE MINISTRY GIFTS OF "PASTORS" (RULING ELDERS, OVERSEERERS OR BISHOPS) AND "TEACHERS" FUNCTIONING AT THIS LEVEL OF OPERATION.
ALSO DISCIPLES WHO ARE WALKING IN AN ANOINTED LEVEL OF THE SPIRIT BEING ABLE TO OPEN UP THE WORD TO OTHERS DUE TO THE REVELATION THEY HAVE RECEIVED AND THE GROWTH THEY HAVE ENTERED INTO. WHEN THEY SPEAK OF THE THINGS OF GOD THE WORD JUST SEEMS TO OPEN UP TO YOU. THEY ARE NOT THE MINISTRY GIFT OF A TEACHER. HOWEVER, THEY DO TEACH BY THEIR LIFE AND REVELATION KNOWLEDGE IN THE WORD.

THE NEXT LEVEL IS "PROPHETS" OR A PROPHECTIC LEVEL OF OPERATION.
EACH OF THE LEVELS UPWARD WILL CARRY A DEGREE OF THE FUNCTIONS BELOW THEM.
ON THIS LEVEL THE GIFT OF THE PROPHET WILL MANIFEST.
THE PROPHETS MINISTRY IS TO BRING US HOPE WHICH IS VISION FOR THE FUTURE.
THEY RELEASE INTO THE CHURCH REVELATION KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM. THEY DECLARE THE WILL, PLAN AND PURPOSE OF GOD FOR OUR LIVES.
THEY CARRY AN ANOINTING TO PULL DOWN STRONGHOLDS AND SET CAPTIVES FREE.
THEY WILL ALSO FORETELL FUTURE EVENTS CONCERNING THE PROGRAM OF GOD.
MIRACLES, HEALING, RESTORATION AND DELIVERANCE WILL TAKE PLACE IN THIS LEVEL OF FUNCTION.
DISCIPLES HERE WALK UNDER A PROPHETIC ANOINTING IN PRAYER AND WARFARE.
MANY BREAKTHROUGHS TAKE PLACE THROUGH THE PRAYERS OF THOSE THAT HAVE REACHED THIS LEVEL OF OPERATION.
I HAVE BEEN VERY BLESSED IN MY LIFE TO HAVE KNOWN SOME QUALITY MEN OF GOD THAT I HAVE RECEIVED SO VERY MUCH FROM.
ONE OF THEM WAS AN INTERCESSOR, A MAN IN THE MINISTRY OF HELPS. HE WAS NOT AN APOSTLE, PROPHET, EVANGELIST, PASTOR OR TEACHER. YET HE HAD GROWN UP INTO A LEVEL OF OPERATION IN THE SPIRIT THAT CAUSED WELL KNOWN MINISTRY GIFTS TO HAVE HIM COME TO THEIR MINISTRIES OR SCHOOLS TO PRAY OVER THEM AND PAID HIM TO DO SO.
HE WAS THE FIRST MAN I WAS EVER ABLE TO ASK SOME QUESTIONS TO WHO NOT ONLY HAD THE ANSWERS BUT UNDERSTOOD THE QUESTIONS. MOST OF THE MINISTRY GIFTS I HAD ASKED THESE QUESTIONS TO DIDN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND THE QUESTIONS, MUCH LESS HAVE ANY ANSWERS.
HE IS THE REASON I AM WRITING THESE BOOKS. WHEN HE WOULD SEE ME HE WOULD PRAY OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR "THE BOOKS TO BE WRITTEN".
HE WAS JUST A DISCIPLE IN THE MINISTRY OF HELPS WHO OPERATED IN AN APOSTLIC AND PROPHETIC LEVEL OF FUNCTION IN INTERCESSORY PRAYER.

THE FINAL LEVEL IS THE "APOSTLES" OR AN APOSTLIC LEVEL OF FUNCTION.
IN THIS LEVEL THE APOSTLE IS SEEN. HE IS ALSO SEEN IN ALL OF THE OTHER LEVELS OF OPERATIONS.
HE IS THE MASTER BUILDER AND KNOWS HOW TO BUILD THE CHURCH FROM THE FOUNDATION UP.
HE WILL BE A PROPHET, DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST, TEACH THE PEOPLE OR PASTOR THE CHURCH.
HE CARRIES THE AUTHORITY OF THE KINGDOM TOO DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL AND TAKE TERRITORY FOR THE KING.
HE BRINGS IN THE PRESENT TRUTH AND REVEALES THE MYSTRIES OF GOD.
DISCIPLES IN THIS LEVEL HAVE A WORLD VISION AND PRAY FOR THE SAVING OF NATIONS, AS WELL AS THE MATURING OF THE SAINTS.
I WAS GREATLY BLESSED TO KNOW A PASTOR WHO GOD USED MIGHTILY IN A REVIVAL IN SOUTH AMERICA SOME YEARS AGO.
HE WAS A "PASTOR" NOT AN APOSTLE. YET GOD WAS ABLE TO USE HIM TO NOT ONLY TOUCH HIS OWN NATION BUT MANY OTHERS ALL AROUND THE WORLD AS WELL.
HE BROUGHT A SUPPLY OF REVELATION BY THE SPIRIT WHEREVER HE WENT. MOVING IN AN APOSTLIC LEVEL OF FUNCTION TO THE BODY OF CHRIST. YET HIS GIFT AND CALL WAS THAT OF A PASTOR.

THERE IS NO LIMIT TO HOW FAR YOU MAY GROW. THAT'S UP TO YOU.
THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT OPERATE THROUGH DISCIPLES AND MINISTRY GIFTS ON DIFFERENT LEVELS OF FUNCTION.
YOU CAN NOT CHOOSE THE GIFT OF MINISTRY THAT GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO. BUT YOU CAN CHOOSE THE LEVEL AT WHICH YOU ARE WILLING TO GROW TO AND FUNCTION IN.

ALL OF THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT ARE AVAILABLE TO YOU IN THE GIFT OF THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THERE IS NO LIMIT TO HOW FAR YOU CAN GO IN THE LEVELS OR FUNCTIONS OF OPERATIONS AND THE "GIFTS OF MINISTRY" ARE SET IN THE CHURCH TO HELP US DO SO.

1 CORINTHIANS 12:11, "But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will."

PART TWO:

GOD IS A SPIRIT. SATAN IS ALSO A SPIRIT. MAN WAS CREATED IN THE IMAGE OF GOD AS A SPIRIT BEING.
WHEN ADAM ATE OF THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL HE DIED SPIRITUALLY.
WHEN WE ARE BORN AGAIN IT IS OUR SPIRITS THAT ARE REBORN, BROUGHT BACK TO LIFE, BY THE SAME SPIRIT THAT RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD.
IT IS THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED.
IT IS HIS SPIRIT THAT WE CALL THE HOLY SPIRIT.
IN THE SPIRIT REALM THINGS ARE SOMEWHAT DIFFERENT THEN IN THE NATURAL.
IN THE NATURAL ONE PLUS ONE EQUALS TWO. IN THE SPIRIT ONE PLUS ONE PLUS ONE EQUALS ONE. ANY NUMBER IN THE SPIRIT TIMES GOD'S LOVE EQUALS ONE.

MATTHEW 3:11, "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire:"

THE WORD "AND" MEANS "ALONG WITH, IN ADDITION TO". JESUS WILL BAPTIZE US WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT AND IN ADDITION TO THE HOLY SPIRIT, FIRE.
WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE FIRE IS.

ACTS 2:1-4, "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

TWO DIFFERENT THINGS TOOK PLACE ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST.
THE HOLY SPIRIT (THE MIGHTY RUSHING WIND) CAME AND SO DID THE FIRE.

PSALMS 104:4, "Who maketh his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire:"

ALL THROUGHOUT HISTORY GOD HAS USED ANGELS. SOMETIMES THEY MANIFEST AS ANGELIC BEINGS, MANY TIMES HOWEVER, THEY DO NOT, BUT COME AS SPIRITS OF MINISTRY; AS FLAMING FIRE.
MOSES ENCOUNTERED AN ANGEL OR SPIRIT IN FLAMING FIRE IN A BUSH.

ACTS 7:30, "And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush."

THE TERM "FLAME OF FIRE" MEANS "FLAMING FIRE".

HEBREWS 1:4-7 & 13-14, "Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they. For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire."

THE WORD "FOR" IS "DIA" AND MEANS "THROUGH, WITH, IN, BECAUSE OF OR FOR".

JESUS HIMSELF, OPERATED WITH THESE SPIRITS OF MINISTRY.

JOHN 1:51, "And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man."

ISAIAH PROPHESIES OF HIM IN CHAPTER 11:1-3,

ALL BELIEVERS HAVE ANGELS IN OPERATION AROUND THEIR LIVES, BUT THE MINISTRY GIFTS HAVE CERTAIN ANOINTINGS OR "SPIRTS OF MINISTRY" THAT OPERATE WITH THEM.

1 CORINTHIANS 14:12, "Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church."

AT THIS POINT WE WILL NEED TO CLEAR UP ANOTHER MISUNDERSTANDING.

THE HOLY SPIRIT LIVES INSIDE OF THE BELIEVER. HIS MANIFESTATIONS FUNCTION THROUGH THE BELIEVER.
HIS POWER AND PRESENCE FLOW OUT OF THE BELIEVER.
HE CAME DOWN ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST AND HASN'T LEFT.
JESUS PRAYED FOR HIS SPIRIT, THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO RESIDE IN HIS BODY, THE CHURCH.

JOHN 14:16-18 & 26, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. THE HOLY SPIRIT IS THE ANOINTING THAT RESIDES WITHIN US. HE DOESN'T COME DOWN, HE FLOWS OUT OF THOSE THAT HE HAS COME TO LIVE IN.

THEN WHAT COMES DOWN IN A MEETING?

IT IS THE SPIRITS OF MINISTRY THAT WORK ACCORDING TO THE DIRECTIONS OF THE SPIRIT FROM WITHIN US.
THE HOLY SPIRIT WORKS FROM WITHIN, OUT OF OR THROUGH. MINISTRY SPIRITS COME UPON OR ARE AROUND US, WORKING TOGETHER WITH THE SPIRIT FROM WITHIN.

FROM THIS POINT ON, JESUS BEGAN TO WALK IN A SUPERNATURAL FLOW WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT FROM WITHIN, OPERATING THROUGH HIM AND MINISTERING SPIRITS COMIMG UPON HIM.

THE WORD "MINISTERED" IS "DIAKONEO" AND MEANS "TO SERVE".

WE WILL FIND THAT EACH OF THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE SPIRIT HAVE ALSO A MINISTERING SPIRIT THAT MAY WORK WITH IT.

WE SEE THIS IN THE BOOK OF "THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST", THE APOSTLE JOHN, WHO RECEIVED THIS PROPHECY, RECEIVED IT FROM AN ANGEL OR THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.

REVELATION 1:1 & 22:16, "The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:"
"I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star."

JOHN HAD AN ENCOUNTER WITH THE "SPIRIT OF PROPHECY", A MINISTERING SPIRIT, AS WELL AS THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROPHECY, DISCERNING OF SPIRITS, WORD OF KNOWLEDGE AND THE WORD OF WISDOM.

THROUGHOUT THE GOSPELS AND THE BOOK OF ACTS WE WILL FIND THE OPERATION OF "MINISTERING SPIRITS" AS WELL AS THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THEY ARE MANY TIMES SEEN IN OPERATION TOGETHER.

THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY WILL OFTEN WORK WITH THE MINISTRY GIFTS OF APOSTLES AND PROPHETS.

A WORD OF CAUTION IS NEEDED HERE.
ANY "SPIRIT" THAT COMES TO US THAT WILL WANT TO RECEIVE WORSHIP IS NOT FROM GOD. ONLY THE LORD JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF, WILL RECEIVE OUR WORSHIP, AN ANGELIC OR ANY OTHER SPIRIT IS NOT WORTHY TO RECEIVE IT. IF THEY DO, IT IS NOT FROM GOD AND WE ARE NOT TO GIVE IT TO THEM.

COLOSSIANS 2:18, "Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God."

THE HEAD OF THE BODY (THE CHURCH) IS THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. TO WORSHIP ANY ONE OR ANY OTHER THING IS IDOLATRY.

IT IS IN THIS POSITION WE FIND OUR SUPPLY AND OUR PLACE OF WARFARE.

IT IS HERE THAT WE WAGE WAR TO BRING FROM THE HEAVENLY REGIONS OF THE SPIRIT REALM THE BLESSINGS AND BENEFITS THAT ARE OURS INTO MANIFESTATION ON THE EARTH REALM.
ALL OF THE BLESSINGS AND BENEFITS THAT OUR LORD HAS PROVIDED FOR US ARE IN THIS REALM OF THE SPIRIT.
IT IS ALSO IN THIS REALM OF THE HEAVENLIES THAT WE ENCOUNTER THE SATANIC SPIRITS THAT OPPOSE US AND TRY TO STOP THE BLESSINGS AND BENEFITS FROM REACHING US.
IT IS ALSO IN THIS PLACE, IN THE SPIRIT, THAT WE ARE SEATED WITH CHRIST, FAR ABOVE ALL OF THESE FORCES OF DARKNESS AND THE POSITION BY WHICH WE OPERATE FROM IN THE SPIRIT TO ENGAGE THEM IN BATTLE AND DEFEAT THEM.

THIS IS DONE THROUGH THE PROPHETIC DECLARATION OF THE "RHEMA" WORD OF GOD, SPEAKING FORTH BY THE HOLY SPIRIT THE "WORD" OF FAITH, SETTING INTO ACTION THE MINISTRING SPIRITS OF GOD!

THESE VERSES ARE SET IN THE CONTEXT OF THE CHURCH. IT IS HERE, THAT WHEN WE HAVE BEEN LED TO GATHER TOGETHER BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, THAT JESUS HIMSELLF IS MANIFESTED IN OUR GATHERING TOGETHER UNTO HIM.
IT IS HERE ON THE EARTH REALM THAT BY HIS SPIRIT WE CAN AFFECT THE REALM OF THE HEAVENLIES.
THE WORD "BIND" IS "DEO" AND MEANS "TO BIND, STOP, FORBID OR PROHIBIT".
THE WORD "LOOSE" IS "LUO" AND MEANS TO "RELEASE, LOOSE, FREE OR LET GO".

"WHAT WE BIND, STOP OR PROHIBIT, BY THE DIRECTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, ON THE EARTH REALM IS STOPPED, BOUND AND PROHIBITED IN THE HEAVENLY REALM.
WHAT WE LOOSE, RELEASE, FREE OR LET GO ON THE EARTH REALM IS RELEASED, LOOSED, FREED AND LET GO IN THE HEAVENLY REALM."

THE KEY HERE IS FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DIRECT US IN WHAT WE ARE TO BIND AND WHAT WE ARE TO LOOSE.
THE TERM "SHALL AGREE" IS "SUMPHONEO" AND MEANS "TO SOUND TOGETHER, A HARMONIOUS AGREEING".
WE GET THE ENGLISH WORD "SYMPHONY" FROM THIS WORD, ALL OF THE INSTRUMENTS PLAYING TOGETHER IN HARMONY".
THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE BY LISTENING TO AND FOLLOWING THE DIRECTIONS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
THE DANGER HERE IS THAT WE TRY TO MOVE IN THIS REALM WITHOUT THE DIRECTION AND ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.
DOING SO HOWEVER, WILL PRODUCE NOTHING AND WILL BECOME JUST ANOTHER RITUAL OF PRAYER WITHOUT LIFE AND SUBSTANCE.

FOLLOWING THE INNER LEADING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE TERMS OF BINDING AND LOOSING WILL STOP SATANIC OPERATIONS AND RELEASE MINISTERING SPIRITS TO BRING IN THE SUPPLY, BENEFITS AND BLESSINGS THAT WE ARE IN NEED OF. THEY WILL FIGHT FOR US BY THE DIRECTION OF THE SPIRIT WITHIN US, MOVED BY THE POWER OF OUR WORDS.

EVERYTHING THAT WE ARE DEALING WITH HERE COMES DOWN TO WORSHIP AND WORDS.
WHO WILL BE WORSHIPPED AND WHAT WE WILL SAY.
LUCIFER FELL BECAUSE HE WANTED TO BE WORSHIPPED AND SAID "I WILL BE LIKE GOD".
EVE WAS DECEIVED BECAUSE OF WORDS AND IT CHANGED MAN'S FOCUS OF WORSHIP.
WHO IS WORSHIPPED AND WHAT WE SAY WILL BIND OR LOOSE THINGS IN THE SPIRIT REALM.
THE ENTIRE SPIRIT WORLD IS WATCHING US AND LISTENING FOR AND TO WHAT WE WILL SAY.

LUKE 12:8-9, "Also I say unto you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God: But he that denieth me before men shall be denied before the angels of God."

THE POWER OF OUR WORDS AND OUR CONFESSION OF CHRIST IS VERY IMPORTANT. IT WILL DETERMINE WHAT SPIRITS WILL BE RELEASED, EITHER OF GOD OR OF SOME OTHER ORIGIN AND WHO WE ARE TRULY WORSHIPPING.

JESUS SAID "WHERE OUR HEART IS THERE IS OUR TREASURE ALSO."
WHAT WE GIVE FIRST PLACE TO IN OUR LIVES IS WHERE OUR TREASURE IS AND WHAT OUR TREASURE IS.
IT IS WHAT WE WORSHIP!

LET US GO BACK TO JOHN 1:51b AND LOOK AT SOME KEY WORDS FOR OUR UNDERSTANDING.

MINISTRING SPIRITS ARE ALREADY HERE. THEY ASCEND BY OUR WORDS AND THEN DESCEND TO BRING US THE ANSWERS, BLESSINGS, BENEFITS AND NEEDS BY OUR PRAYERS DUE TO AN OPEN HEAVEN.

"WORSHIP" IS ANY ACTIVITY THAT ESTABLISHES THE RELATIVE POSITON OF THE WORSHIPER AND THE OBJECT OF WORSHIP.

THE TITHE IS AN ACT OF WORSHIP. THE TENTH OF ALL OF OUR INCREASE ESTABLISHES OUR POSITION WITH GOD.
IT IS OUR "FIRSTFRUITS" UNTO HIM.

PROVERBS 3:9-10, "Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine."

GOD BLESSES WHAT HE POSSESES. OUR GIVING OF THE TITHE SAYS THAT "ALL" OF THE AMOUNT BELONGS TO HIM, NOT JUST THE TENTH.
IT SHOWS THE TRUE ATTITUDE OF OUR HEARTS IN WEATHER OR NOT WE WILL PUT GOD FIRST IN ALL THAT WE DO.
IT IS AN ACT THAT WE ARE TO DO "FIRST" BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE.
WE ARE TO BRING THE TITHE INTO THE STOREHOUSE, THE PLACE WHERE WE ARE FED THE WORD AND RELATED TO THE MINISTRY GIFTS, HONORING GOD'S GIFTS AND HIS AUTHORITY BY DOING SO.

ANYTHING LESS THAN THE "TENTH OF ALL OUR INCREASE" IS NOT A TITHE, IT IS AN OFFERING, ANYTHING MORE IS AN OFFERING AS WELL.
WE ARE TO DO BOTH. GIVE OUR TITHE PLUS OUR OFFERINGS.
THE "TITHE" GOES TO THE LOCAL CHURCH, YOUR OFFERINGS CAN GO ANYWHERE THE SPIRIT DIRECTS YOU TO GIVE.

WE ARE TO GIVE THE TITHE, BUT THE ACT OF TITHING IS TO BE DONE BY OUR MOUTH. WE ARE TO GIVE IT WITH A CONFESSION OF FAITH CONCERNING OUR GIVING AND WITH AN EXPECTATION OF GOD'S BLESSINGS BEING RELEASED INTO OUR LIVES.

SOME WILL SAY "I CAN'T AFFORD TO TITHE" OR "TITHING IS UNDER THE LAW." THE TRUTH IS YOU CAN'T AFFORD NOT TO TITHE AND TITHING STARTS WAY BEFORE THE LAW AND IS ONE OF THE WAYS WE SEEK THE KINGDOM FIRST.
JESUS SAID "WE OUGHT TO TITHE," AND THE CONCEPT OF THE TITHE IS FOUND THROUGHOUT THE NEW TESTAMENT.

WE ESTABLISH AN OPEN HEAVEN THROUGH THE TITHE AND OUR GIVING INTO THE MINISTRY GIFTS OF GOD.
HOW WE RECEIVE THE GIFT OF GOD WITHIN THEM AND PERCEIVE THEM AS GIFTS FROM GOD TO US IS THE DEGREE THAT THE GIFT WITHIN THEM AND THE ANOINTINGS (MINISTERING SPIRITS) UPON THEM MAY BE OF A BENEFIT TO US.

MATTHEW 10:40-42, "He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold [water] only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward."

THE NEXT THING WE MUST DO IS LINE UP OUR WORDS WITH THE WORD OF GOD. SPEAKING WHAT HE IS SPEAKING CONCERNING US. IT IS HERE THAT WE SET THE SPIRIT WORLD IN MOTION EITHER FOR GOOD OR FOR EVIL.
EITHER FOR OUR BLESSING OR OUR DESTRUCTION.

MATTHEW 12:34b & 36-37, 'for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh."
"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned."

THE PHYSICAL REALM IS A REFLECTION OF THE SPIRITUAL AND THE SPIRIT REALM IS INFLUENCED AND AFFECTED BY THE PHYSICAL REALM.

THE SOUL OF MAN IS UNIQUE IN THAT IT TOUCHES INTO BOTH REALMS AND EITHER INFLUENCES OR IS INFLUENCED BY THEM.
IT IS A TRANSLATOR FROM THE SPIRIT REALM TO THE PHYSICAL OR NATURAL AND FROM THE PHYSICAL OR NATURAL INTO THE SPIRITUAL REALM.

THIS IS DONE THROUGH THOUGHTS (SILENT WORDS), EMOTIONS (EXPRESSIONS OF THOUGHTS BY FEELINGS) AND OUR WORDS SPOKEN OUT OF OUR MOUTHS.
THIS IS THE GREATEST AREA OF OUR WARFARE, WHERE EITHER THE SPIRITS OF GOD ARE RELEASED INTO THE EARTH REALM OR THE SPIRITS OF DARKNESS.

BETWEEN PHYSICAL ISRAEL AND SPIRITUAL ISRAEL (THE CHURCH). BETWEEN WHAT IS MANIFESTATED HERE ON EARTH AND WHAT IS TRANSPIRING IN THE SPIRIT REALM OF THE HEAVENLIES.
THE KEY TO WHAT WILL OPERATE IN AND THROUGH OUR LIVES IS THE THOUGHTS WE ARE TAKING, THE EMOTIONS EXPRESSED AND THE WORDS WE ARE SPEAKING.

THE WORDS USED IN THE NEW TESTAMENT FOR "HEAVEN" CAN PERTAIN TO THE ATMOSPHERE AROUND US, THE SKY ABOVE US, THE STARS IN SPACE OR THE HEAVENLY REALM ITSELF.
THEY ARE ALL CONNECTED AND INTERELATED.
IN THE REALM OF THE SPIRIT THERE IS NO TIME, DISTANCE OR SPACE.
